Essie L. "Peaches" Kerr, 74, of Decatur died 3:55 p.m. Tuesday (June 13, 1995) in St. Mary's Hospital. Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Illini Cemetery, Warrensburg. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are by Brintlinger's Funeral Home. Memorials: American Heart Association in lieu of flowers.
Mrs. Kerr was born Nov. 4, 1920, in Monticello, Ky., the daughter of Harrison and Mattie Burris. Mrs. Kerr was a member of Central Christian Church. She married Edwin Kerr in 1938. He died in 1981. Surviving are her son, Michael Kerr and wife Linda of DeSoto, Texas; two sisters in California; one brother in Decatur; grandchildren, Jeff Kerr and Barbara Lien, both of Texas; two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
