Tillman Ross Braddy, Sr grew up on a farm in Georgia. He was the son of Seaborn L Braddy and Julia Peacock Braddy. The youngest of five children, he was the brother of John, James Cooper, Doyle Dawson, and Mary Ida Braddy Gilbreath. Encouraged by his mother Julia, he pursued a christian occupation to preach the gospal and attended Crozier Theological Seminary in Chester, PA (pictured), and later became a baptist minister. He traveled much of the country preaching the gospel as an evangelist. He was involved in the start-up of the Alexandria, Virginia Boys Club in the 1930's according to newspaper records. He was the husband (divorced) of Amanda Renspie (my grand-mother). Father of Yvonne ,Charlotte Braddy Brendal, Tillman Ross Braddy Jr. Our family lost track of him after the divorce for most of the time. He passed away in the Washington D.C. area in 1974.
