Emma Viola May Ball, 93, of South Olive, Ohio, died January 13, 1990, at Guernsey Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
Mrs. Ball was born May 19, 1896, in West Virginia, a daughter of the late Fred A. and Arthellia Jane Alton Swain. She was a homemaker and owned and operated Ball Sorghum Mill at Gem for 52 years. She was a member of the Dexter City American Legion Auxiliary; Pythian Sisters at Lowell; and the former Community Club at Dexter City.
She was married to Ernest J. Ball who died in 1963. She is survived by four daughters; four sons; one daughter-in-law; one sister; four brothers; 29 grandchildren and several step-grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and two step-great-great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sons, two brothers, three sisters, and two great-grandchildren.
