"W. M. Poston Dies Of Stroke--Worley M. Poston of 1412 North Walker St., Princeton, died Monday in a Princeton hospital following a stroke.
He was a retired businessman who had worked for Ritter Lumber Co., a wholesale grocery in Princeton, the West Virginia State Road Commission, and recently had operated the Poston Insurance Co. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 134 and had served as past master of the lodge. He was a member of the Royal Arch Chapter 44 in Princeton, and a member of the Bluefield Commandery 19 Knights of Templar. He had been a member of Beni Kedem Shrine Temple in Charleston, and the other organizations for 50 years. He was also a charter member of the Princeton Rotary Club and the Princeton Elks Club No. 1459.
He was a graduate of the University of Kentucky in 1921. He was born in Smyth County, Va., a son of the late William and Elizabeth Poston and was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Karnes Poston, in 1961.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. John (Francis) Lilly of Princeton, with whom he made his home; one son, William K. Poston of Bluefield, and two grandsons.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at the George W. Seaver Chapel in Princeton with Rev. Paul Carter and Rev. Yandell Page officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Park Cemetery.
Members of the Princeton Elks Lodge 134 will be pallbearers and conduct graveside rites. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Princeton Elks Club, Princeton Rotary Club and the Princeton Old Guard.
Friends may call at the mortuary from 2:30 to 9:30 p.m. today."
