Revolutionary War Veteran

Lewis married Lois Walker, daughter of Abel Walker and Lois Read, in Hardwich, Worcester, Massachusetts, on February 8, 1787. Lois Walker was born in that town in 1766 and died in 1853 in Paris, Wisconsin.
The family moved to Marcellus, Onondaga, New York, in 1808 along with the parents of Lewis. The early years of 1800 saw a continuing migration of this Baker branch from Massachusetts to the Marcellus area.
Their children were as follows:

(a.) Anna Baker born December 5, 1787 in Pelham,
Massachusetts. She married Cephas Weed (see
memorial #99705931). She died in Hannibal, Oswego
County, New York on September 21, 1826.

(b.) Abel Baker who was born on June 17, 1789. He died
in Cayuga County, New York. He had three wives:

1. Amore or Aurora Price who was born July
5, 1795 and died on June 11, 1827. They
were married April 23, 1818.

2. Laura Bailey who died on Oct.17, 1836.

3. Udolphia Osborn who died November 25,1842.

(c.) James Lewis Baker who was born on August 5, 1791
and died August 9, 1802.

(d.) Read Baker born April 26, 1794 in Pelham,
Massachusetts. He died in 1877.

(e.) Lois Baker was born on August 10, 1796. She
married the husband of her deceased sister,
Anna, who was Cephas Weed in 1828. She is
probably buried near Paris, Kenosha, Wisconsin.

(f.) William Baker born March 15, 1799 and died in
Paris, Racine, Wisconsin after 1861. He married
Roxanna Baker.

(g.) Erastus Baker born February 1, 1802 and died
September 18, 1803.

(h.) Huldah Baker born July 22, 1804. She married, as
her first husband, Nathaniel Clark in 1823.
And, she married , secondly, Stephen

(I.) Thomas Walker Baker born July 26, 1807. He
married Mary Ellis. Thomas died in 1877.

(j.) Elisha Baker born June 8, 1811. He married
Adeline.
