Levi Delbert (Deb) Bodily, 93, died Saturday May 1, 1999, at Sunshine Terrace.

He was born Aug. 20, 1905, in Fairview, Idaho, to Levi and Ivy Chrystell Smith Bodily.
He married Norma Christensen on June 19, 1930, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She preceded him in death on Dec. 9, 1997.

He attended elementary school in Fairview and high school in Preston, Idaho. He also attended Brigham Young College in Logan, Utah. From 1927 to 1929 he served an LDS mission in the Northwestern States mission. Prior to and following his mission, he worked on the family farm in Fairview.

Following his marriage he settled in Lewiston, Utah, where he purchased a 60-acre farm. Over the years he expanded the farm and eventually purchased his parents' farm in Idaho.

Deb was active in professional, community and church positions. His service included being president of the Cub River Irrigation Co., a director of the Lewiston State Bank, Lewiston city councilman, Lewiston mayor, Cache County School Board member and Cache County commissioner. He served in many capacities in the LDS Church, including Young Men's leader, priesthood instructor and bishop.

Norma and Deb were the parents of five sons and one daughter: Donald (Gerda) Bodily, Salt Lake City, Utah, David (Beth Alene) Bodily, Salt Lake City, Stephen (Beverly) Bodily, Lewiston, Norman (Marilyn) Bodily, Dallas, Texas, Eileen (Keith) Hunter, Salt Lake City, and Samuel (Jolene) Bodily, Charlottesville, Va.

He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Wilma Wade and Laurie Wood, both of Washington, Utah; and one brother, Eldon "Dick" Bodily, Phoenix, Ariz.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, two brothers, one sister and one granddaughter.
Funeral services will be at noon Thursday, May 6, in the Lewiston 1st and 2nd Ward Chapel, 10 S. 1600 West, Lewiston, with Bishop Kimber Hall conducting. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E. Center St., Logan, or from 10 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at the church. Interment will be in the Lewiston City Cemetery.
