Theodore McCauley Brandenburg, retired grocer formerly of Frederick but for the past ten years a resident of Washington, died at the Frederick City Hospital Saturday night at nine o'clock, after an illness of one week, aged 87 years. He had been removed to the hospital Saturday morning from the home of his son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Percy A. Sigler, 3437 Seventeenth St. N. W. He was a son of the late Eli and Susanna Main Brandenburg of Frederick County. For many years Mr. Brandenburg operated a grocery store in this city and was well known. Surviving are two sons, H. Guy Brandenburg, Hagerstown; J. Harry Brandenburg, Braddock; one daughter, Mrs. Percy A. Sigler, Washington D. C. Four brothers, Marion Brandenburg, Hagerstown; Edward F. Brandenburg, Manato, Col.; William W. Brandenburg, and Lewis H. Brandenburg, Baltimore and one granddaughter Miss Virginia Ann Brandenburg, Braddock, also survive. The body is at the funeral home, 106 East Church street from where the funeral will take place Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment will be made in Mount Olivet cemetery. M. R.
