BILL HARRISON, 81, of Cisco, passed away on April 1, 2009 in Eastland. Burial was in Eastland City Cemetery. Bill was born on April 30, 1927 in Brownwood to William Lee and Ethel Leona (Miller) Harrison. He attended schools at Frankell Elementary and graduated from Ranger, Texas. He joined the Merchant Marines at the age of 17. He married Elizabeth Ann Sylvester on June 10, 1951 in Ranger. He was a truck driver for several years before owning and operating cattle auction barns in Breckenridge and Ranger, H&R Lumber in Eastland, and building his ranch operation. He was one of the owners of HTH Trucking during the 80s. He and Liz had three children; Phillip, Ralph and Nancy.

Bill was a 50 year member of the South Houston Masonic Lodge, the Eastland County Sheriff's Posse, the American Quarter Horse Association, the Texas Cattle Raiser's Association and a lifetime member of the United States Team Roping Association.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jake Harrison, Jed Harrison, John Harrison; sisters, Laverne Stuart, Lavelle Morton, and Burma Lee Bradford.

He is survived by his wife Liz Harrison of Cisco; son and daughter-in-law, Phillip and Jerrilynn Harrison of Cisco and their children, Amber, Austin, and Albany; son and daughter-in-law, Ralph and Teresa Harrison of Cisco and their children, Tifani, Hayden and Rylan; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Jody Finley of Eastland and their children, Will and Jeremy; six great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Pebble Harrison; a host of nieces and nephews; great nieces and great-nephews; and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
