Tsgt. James Tandy Bennett I, USAF Retired, 76 years young Passed from this Life at 5:25 A.M. Thursday April 2, 2009 at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. James was born July 10, 1932 in Golden Pond, Kentucky to Francis "Frank" Marion Bennett and Ida Lamkin Bennett, he worked for Lang's Drug Store in Paducah, before enlisting in the United States Air Force July 17, 1951. He met and then married Felicitas Alicia "Licha" Fuentes in San Antonio on July 10, 1953. They shared 55 years together. Mr. Bennett is survived by his wife "Licha" of San Antonio, 3 daughters and sons in law; Betty Stuart of San Antonio, Peggy and Bob Baker of Orlando, Florida, Sharon Brown and Tommy Pritt of San Antonio, 4 sons and daughters in law; James T. Bennett II and Cheryl, Jack T. Bennett and Laura Dragoo all of San Antonio, Phillip E. Bennett of Chicago, Illinois and Rev. Wm. Patrick Bennett of Coleman, Texas. 19 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, sister in law Delia Belmarez of San Antonio, brother in law David Fuentes of California, and friends. James was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers; Bill, Lacy, Maxie, Brandon, and Hollis, and 2 sisters; Pocahontas Nance and Francis Pulley, sister in law Julia Knable, and brother in law Carlos Fuentes. Family Visitation will be held on Monday April 6, 2009 from 11:30 A.M. To 12:30 P.M. At Southside Church of God, 406 Boswell in San Antonio. Funeral Service will be at Southside Church of God at 12:30 P.M. with Rev. Wm. Patrick Bennett officiating. Interment will take place at 2:15 P.M. In Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas with Full Military Honors. Under the direction of:
