Was an early true Conservationist. Did 2 stints as the Manager of the Cedar Island Lodge on the Boise Brule River. Was extremely instrumental in developing the fish rearing ponds, the building of the Lodge Property and saving many of the 'old growth' trees currently on the property. Worked at the Lodge during the Pierce ownership days. Was there when it was the 'Summer White House' during Pres. Coolidge's visit.
