Unity – I, Barbara Woodbury, finally lost my battle Saturday, May 29, 1999, with this dreadful disease they call cancer. I am at peace now. I was born in Burnham, September 16, 1936, to two of the nicest parents a girl could ever ask for, Nathan and Beryl (Thurlow) Reynolds.

I was not the only member of the family. I was blessed with a loving sister Donna and her husband Chub Temple of Homasassa, Fla.; and a loving brother Edward and his wife Carol of Pittsfield; and many nieces and nephews.

I attended Reynolds Corner grammar school and Maine Central Institute, graduating in 1955. I loved school dearly and should have gone on, but finances were different than they are today. After graduation, I married LeRoy Trull in 1956. Our marriage had its ups and downs and finally ended in 1984. But out of that marriage came four beautiful children and eight precious grandchildren: Tammie Rossi of Unity and her children, Daniel and Rachel; Tina and Dave Harper of Bar Harbor and their children, Morgan and Jordan; Torrie and Jim Sprague of Northport and their children, Kayla and Austin; and Todd and Dorothy Trull of Unity and their children, Derrick and Devin; two sisters-in-law, Beverly Trull and Laverne Sanders both of Unity; my mother-in-law, Arlene Trull, who was always an inspiration to me; my father-in-law passed away in 1986.

In 1986, I met one of the dearest men God could ever have put on the face of this earth, Bill Woodbury. We married in 1988 whereby I was given my extended family: my mother-in-law, Edith Woodbury, and Bill's sons and families, Willie and Trish of Waterville and their son, Michael and his children, Kelsey and Kane of Lisbon Falls; Paul and Mary of Burnham and their children, Nicole, Emily and Heidi-Jo; Andrew, formerly of Colorado, who passed away in 1987; and Albert and Trudy of Clinton and their children, Eric and Jennifer and grandchild Zackary.

I worked at Unity College for 25 years and also as a bus driver for SAD 3, retiring in 1998. I was fortunate to work with people who were more than "co-workers". We worked hard, played hard, spent many good times together. Thank you all.
Burial will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, June 6, in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Freedom.
