Frank R. Anderson of Bedford, IN, died Tuesday, February 23, 1999, at the Bedford Regional Medical Center. Born on April 10, 1926, in Monroe County,m IN, he was the son of Charles Martin and Clara Olive (Williams) Anderson. He married Maxine Webb on September 3, 1946, and she survives.

Also surviving are four daughters: Veneita Kay Apple of French Lick, IN, Sharon Lynn Nolan of Heltonville, IN, Barbara Sue Alberts of Wheeling, WV, and Frankie Renee Young of Mitchell, IN; one adopted daughter, Patsy Blalock of Chicago, IL; his mother, Clara Anderson of Bedford, IN; two sisters, Betty Ritchison and Anna Blackwell, both of Bedford, IN; two brothers, Paul and Gene Anderson, both of Bedford, IN; twelve grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father.

A rural mail carrier, he retired from the U.S. Postal Service with thirty-three years of service, and was a World War II Navy veteran. He was of Protestant faith.

Services for Frank Anderson will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 26th, at the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Fred Salmon and Pastor Lyndel Manship officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens with graveside military rites accorded by members of the American Legion Gillen Post No. 33, Bedford.
