There is nor improvement in the condition of Mr W. Lunam, a setttler of this district, who met with a very serious accident at Tarata recently. The settlers here intend holding a benefit concert at Strathmore on April 7th, on behalf of Mrs Lunam and family and anticipate getting very liberal support.

Lunam At the New Plymouth Hospital, on 22nd June 1905, William Lunam, late of Tarata, Taranaki and Otago, aged 54 years.
Mr Hutchison (Coroner) held an inquest at the Courhouse concerning the death of William Lunam, late carrier of Tarata. Deceased had a fall whilst galloping a horse in a trial on the Tarata racecourse in February last and sustained a fracture of the spinal column near the neck. A verdict was returned that death was due to paralysis the result of an accident.
His mother remarried in 1908 to William Thomas Holtz, a farmer of Stratford
