ALICE HANNA DIES FROM LEUKEMIA AT HOME IN THIS CITY
Funeral Services Will be Held Here Friday Morning at 10 O'clock
Alice Parker Hanna died at her home, 802 Lane avenue, Wednesday morning at 1:30 o'clock after being ill for about a year with leukemia. The deceased was born near Waynetown, May 10, 1865, the daughter of Dr. John and Elizabeth Gilkey Parker. She was married November 28, 1889 to Edward E. Hanna at the home of her father in Mellott, Indiana. She was a member of the First Baptist church and the Athens chapter of the O.E.S. When a small child her parents moved to Farmersburg, Indiana, where she grew to young womanhood. She then returned with her parents to Mellott about 1888. Surviving are a son Harold A. Hanna, a brother Alfred Parker of Anderson, a granddaughter Betty Marine Hanna. Three nieces and one nephew. Her husband died on November 27, 1925. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10 o'clock at the Hunt and Ratcliff funeral home with the Rev. B. E. Antrobus in charge. Burial will be made at the Masonic Cemetery.
