Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church with the Rev.
Perry officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Olive Cemetery. Jackson's Mortuary
is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife Pearl Smith of Aberdeen; five sons, Eugene Smith,
Jr., Houston Smith, Oliver Smith, Jerome Smith and Kenneth Smith, all of
Aberdeen; four daughters, Virginia McAllister and Mary Gordon, both of Chicago,
Lady Dean Fields of Hamilton, Regina Brock of Nashville, Tenn.; three sisters,
Irma Shumpert of Dorsey, Ann Robertson of Milwaukee, Wisc., and Nonnie Marie
Stubbs of Grand Rapids, Mich.; three brothers, Sidney Smith of Memphis, Billy
Smith of Amory and Willie Smith of Dorsey.
