MARGARET HARTMANN

Mrs. Margaret Hartmann who had been making her home with Mrs. Anna Kissinger at Elkhart Lake, passed away there Saturday morning after a lingering illness.
Mrs. Hartmann was born in the town of Herman on June 30, 1868, the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Spettel. In May 1889, she was married to John Hartman. The couple located on a farm in the town of Schleswig, but after Mr. Hartman's death in 1903 she moved to Kiel. Later she lived in New Holstein and Sheboygan, and for the past two and one-half years she has been living in Elkhart Lake.
Among the survivors are five sons, Edward of New Holstein, Joseph of Sheboygan, Ted of Chilton, Albin of Marengo, Illinois, and Othmar of Brillion; four brothers, Edward, Henry, John and Jacob Spettel, all of Kiel and vicinity, and a sister, Miss Mary Spettel of Wilmette, Illinois.
Also 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday morning at 9:30 o'clock at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home, and at 10 o'clock at the Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic church, with the Rev. F. X. Kheil officiating.
