Victor J. Vaughn 82, Greenwood passed away March 31, 2009. He was born February 2, 1927 in Indianapolis to the late John and Anna (Daly) Vaughn. He married Rita C. Rohr on July 5, 1948 in Indianapolis and she survives. Victor was a graduate of Cathedral High School and a WWII Army veteran. He was employed many years as a salesperson and was a life-long professional golfer and life-time member of Knights of Columbus Council No. 3660. Other survivors include his daughters Karen (Jim) Shotts of Greenwood, Sharon Charles of Greenwood, Donna (Carl) Chitwood of Greenwood, Teresa (Jack) Christy of Indianapolis, Anita (Ronald Rodeman) Vaughn of Albuquerque, NM, and Pam (Kent) Miller of Waterloo, IA; son Victor J. II "Vic" (Adena) Vaughn of Westfield; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sister Anna Roberts of Indianapolis and Eileen Priest of Nashville, TN. He was also preceded in death by his sisters Lib Stelzel, Margaret Vaughn, and Katie Piercy; and brothers John, Tommy, Jimmy, and Bobby Vaughn. Prayers will be 9:15 AM, Friday, April 3 in Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM, in St. Barnabas Catholic Church, where he was a member. Visitation will be 4:00 – 8:00 PM, Thursday, April 2, at the mortuary with recitation of rosary at 7:30 PM. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
