Funeral services for Mrs. Arthur Friedl, 40, of 1115 Fremont St., Kiel, will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel, and at 9:30 a.m., at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Kiel. The Rev. George Kiefer will be celebrant of the requiem Mass and burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Mrs. Friedl died Saturday morning at Calumet Memorial Hospital in Chilton.
The former Grace Hess, she was born Jan. 15, 1928, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Alexander and Inez Jenz Hess. Mrs. Friedl moved with the family to Fond du Lac and attended St. Joseph’s Catholic School there.
She was married to Arthur Freidl of Waupun at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Fond du Lac on June 14, 1947. The couple lived in Waupun and Fond du Lac before moving to Kiel five years ago.
Mrs. Friedl is survived by her husband; two sons, John and James, at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hess, New Holstein; and three brothers, Warren and Robert Hess and Alex Hess Jr., all of Fond duLac.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. - 1967
