Mary met Jan Kluzak in Cleveland and they were married there on July 13, 1874. They resided in Cleveland where Jan worked for John D. Rockefeller Company. Their first three children, Anna, Jan and Ottokar "Arthur", were born in Cleveland. In 1883, Jan went to Polk County, Minnesota and found work and a home and then sent for his family. Mary and the three children came from Cleveland by train to Euclid, Minnesota.
Jan, Mary and family lived and farmed in Tabor Township, Polk County, near Tabor, MN. Six more children were born in Polk County, namely, Rose, Joseph, William, James, Edward and Charles.
Jan passed away on November 9, 1903. Mary and their children continued living on the farm in Tabor Township.
Mary passed away at her home on April ll, 1934.
Mary is survived by six sons, Arthur, Joseph, William, James, Edward and Charles Kluzak: one daughter, Rose Vonasek; and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Jan; Son, Jan; daughter, Anna Machal and several grandchildren; and her parents.
