NOTE: I am the youngest of 13 childern of Troy Howell and Elsie Jarrett Howell. I was born on November 4, 1931, right in the heart of the depression.

On October 18, 1950, I married James Arthur Miller who was born September 13,1928 and our daughter , Laura Jane, was born August 4, 1964. We live in Spruce Pine, and Laura is currently a senior at the University of North Carolina Greensboro. I am enclosing a picture of our entire family which was taken 30 years ago for everyone to see. I worked for the same company for approximately 24 years until Mulitple Sclerosis forced me into retirement.

I can truly say I believe we came from "good stock". I wish I could be there.
