Omer I. Christel, 45, 620 St. Paul St., Kiel died early today at Villa Loretto Nursing Home at Mt. Calvary, where he had been a resident since January.
He was born Feb. 1, 1926, at Brillion, a son of Isidore and the late Ida N. Jergen Christel. He moved to Kiel with his parents in 1933.
Surviving are his father; two sisters, Mrs. Robert Biederwolf, Brillion; and Mrs. Norman Orth, Kiel; and seven brothers, Roman, R. 3, Chilton; Arnold, New Holstein; Lawrence, Eugene, Raymond and James, all of Kiel, and John of LaCrosse.
Preceding him in death were his mother in December, 1967, and two brothers.
The funeral Mass will be 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Kiel, the Rev. George Kiefer, pastor, celebrant. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
