OBITUARY

HENRY P. BROWN,
Son of Moses and Delphia Brown, was born in Henry county, Indiana, October 19, 1847. Was married to Mary Loer, May 31, 1868. Died September 13, 1882. Aged 34 years, 10 months and 24 days. He was converted and joined the United Brethren church some eight or nine years ago; was a class leader at intervals for four or five years, but owing to his connection with a secret order he lost his connection with the church, and never joined any other. He leaves a wife and three children together with parents, brothers and sisters, and a large circle of acquaintances to mourn his loss. Thus has one in the strength and vigor of manhood been stricken from among us - another warning to all the living to prepare to meet their God. Services were held in the grove at the Friends' church, Flatrock. He was buried at the Friends' graveyard about a mile distant.
