Mrs. Martha Hepler Hamilton: Martha Hepler Hamilton, widow of Edward A. Hamilton, died on Thursday, March 20, 1947, at her home in Hawthorn. Mrs. Hamilton, a daughter of Milton and Margaret Burns Hepler, was born November 29, 1874 in Clarion county, Penna. She was married to Edward A. Hamilton, who died in 1943. She is survived by three sisters: Mrs. Amos Swartfager, R. D., New Bethlehem; Mrs. Mary Shields, Niagara Falls, New York, and Mrs. W. E. Pence, R. D. New Bethlehem. Two grandchildren, Dr. William E. Barratt, of Erie, and Mrs. Andrew Mungo, of Hawthorn, also survive. Mrs. Hamilton had been a member of the Presbyterian church for more than sixty years. At the time of her death she was a member of the Hawthorn Presbyterian church. She was also a member of the church Missionary Society and the New Bethlehem Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at the home with Dr. J. Wallace Fraser officiating. Interment was made in the Hawthorn cemetery under the direction of Charles D. Alcorn.
