Lincoln Place woman is dead at age of 101: Mrs. Mary H. Shield, 101, of 819 Lincoln Place died Tuesday (Aug. 15, 1972) in Fairchild Nursing Home, where she had been a patient since January. She was born in New Bethlehem, Pa., and had lived in this city since 1904. She was a member of St. James Methodist Church and the WSCS Group, Niagara Falls Golden Agers, and the Riverdale Rebekah Lodge. Her husband, Daniel J. Shields, died in 1936. Survivors include two sons, Russel H. and Milton Q. Shields, both of this city; a daughter, Mrs. Mason (Gladine) Elliott of North Olmsted, Ohio; a grandchild and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at the Cornell and Daggett Chapel at 8 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. William H. Jessop officiating. Burial will be in the Leatherwood Church cemetery, New Bethlehem. Friends may call at the chapel from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 5 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday. Memorial contributions to the St. James Church Memorial Fund as tribute is acceptable, the family said.
