Felicia Josephine Talarowski
Felicia Kowalewski was born June 24, 1927, in Wilmington DE. She was born to Vincent and Josephine "Jozefa" (Grabowski) Kowalewski of St Hedwig Parish. Her father, Vincent Kowalewski, was a prominent leader for the Polish community of Wilmington.
Felicia graduated from St Hedwig's School in Wilmington, in 1941, and from Wilmington High School, in 1945. She was also a graduate of Wilmington Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and was employed by the same hospital until she married William F Talarowski in 1948.
On Sunday, May 27, 1990, Felicia died peacefully at home. She was preceded in death by both of her parents.
Felicia is survived by her husband, William F Talarowski; her daughters, Louise C (Talarowski) Jones and her husband, Roger, of Newark DE; Mary Jo (Talarowski) Duszak and her husband, Thomas, of Harrisburg PA; Felicia T (Talarowski) Lupton (now Wilson) of Califon NJ; Jozefa K (Talarowski) Nagle of Lancaster PA, and Dianna B (Talarowski) Thomas and her husband, Richard, of Wilmington DE; her grandchildren, Roger Jones Jr, Felicia Jones, and Jessica Jones of Newark DE, Felicia Stillson of Wilmington DE, and Barbara Duszak of Harrisburg PA; her brothers, Rev Vincent Kowalewski Jr OSFS and Rev John Kowalewski OSFS, both of Wilmington DE; her sisters, Mrs Florence (Kowalewski) McCorkle, Mrs Joanne (Kowalewski) Magdycz, Ms Christine Kowalewski, all of Wilmington DE; Mother Mary Jozefa Kowalewski VHM, of Snellville GA; and Sr Mary Vincent Kowalewski OSFS, of Childs MD. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
There was a private viewing for family and friends in Wilmington followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Wilmington DE. Interment followed in Oblate Sisters' Cemetery in Childs MD.
