William H. Walker, son of Samuel and Emma Walker, was born in Seward county, Dec. 25, 1877, and passed away Friday, December 7, 1951, having reached the age of 73 years, 11 months and 12 days. Death followed a lingering illness of about two years. His entire life was spent in Seward and Seward County.
On January 1, 1897, he was united in marriage to Anna Turner, in Seward, who preceded him in death in 1943. To this union nine children were born, one of whom, Bert, preceded the father in death in 1945.
On December 30, 1945, he was married to Mrs. Alma Wren.
Mr. Walker was a member of the Seward Volunteer Fire Department and the Police Force for a number of years.
Survivors are his wife, Alma; his three daughters, Mrs. Anton Vrana, Seward; Miss Dorothy Walker, Lincoln, and Mrs. John Willers, Milford; five sons, Clarence and Clyde, Seward; Earl, Omaha; and William and Ralph, Lincoln; 18 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and a half brother, Elmer Carlson of Seward, and many other relatives and friends.
