Sweetwater - Funeral for James Hoover, 63, was to be Friday at 2 p.m. at Patterson-McCoy Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Raymond Dunn officiating. Burial was to be in the Palava Cemetery.

Mr. Hoover was found shot to death in the back yard of his home Wednesday.

Surviving are his wife; four sons, James Ed and Phillip Robert, both of Longworth, Bobby Dean with the Army at Fort Ord, Calif., and Tommy Hugh of Abilene; a brother, George C. of Sweetwater; three sisters, Miss Floye Hoover and Miss Jewel Hoover, both of Palava and Mrs. Eunice Scott of Sweetwater.
