Palava Stock farmer Dies At Sweetwater

Sweetwater, Jan. 2 - Herbert W. Hoover, 62, stock farmer of Palava, died at 9:40 a.m. Saturday in Sweetwater hospital.

He was born Oct. 3, 1892 in Wood County, and had lived at Palava about 40 years.

Survivors include five sisters, Mrs. C. D. Hartman of Comanche, Mrs. Flossie Minshew of California, Mrs. Floy Hoover and Miss Jewell Hoover, both of Palava and Mrs. W. T. Scott of Stephenville; and two brothers, Doc Hoover of Palava and Kip Hoover of Comanche.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Palava Baptist Church. The Rev. Carl Rea, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will be in Palava Cemetery under direction of Patterson Funeral Home of Sweetwater.
