Maxine Williams Easter, a long-time resident of Midland passed away Thursday, March 26, 2009.

Maxine, the only child of Roy D. and Stella Williams was born October 16, 1919 in Baird, Texas. Upon graduation from Baird High School, she attended Abilene Christian College. During World War II, Maxine was employed by the Civil Service Housing and Home Finance Agency in Fort Worth.

In 1951, she married Murrie Easter and moved to Midland where they have since resided. Maxine was active in her sons' scouting and sports activities as well as serving in various capacities for several school PTAs. Her hobbies included gardening and bird watching, which gave her great pleasure. Her greatest pleasure was attending and supporting her grandchildren's academic and athletic events.

Survivors include husband Murrie; sons, Bob and wife Diane of Midland, Jim and wife Laurie of Houston; grandchildren, Chris Easter and wife Myndi of Plano, Stephanie Easter of Fort Worth, Jessica Easter of Houston and Allison Easter of Houston. Also her extended family the Pickrells and Rodgers will miss Maxine: extra grandchildren Dustin and Trevor Pickrell of Chandler, Arizona, Brett Rodgers of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Erin Rodgers of Lubbock, Texas,

Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 28, 2009 at Albany Cemetery in Albany, Texas. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Friday, March 27, 2009 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home in Midland.
