Charles E. Clements, 75, of Kansas City, Kan., passed away on Friday, November 7, 2008, at Kansas City Hospice House. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 12, 2008, at the Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, Kan. Burial with military honors in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 11, 2008, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Kansas Special Olympics at 5280 Foxridge Drive, Mission, KS 66202. Charles was born on October 7, 1933, to Frank E. and Gladys Ray (Sedgwick) Clements. He was a resident of Kansas City, Kan., all of his life. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. He was also a member of several clubs and organizations including the Shawnee Masonic Lodge #54, The Abdallah Shrine, Beatrice Chapter order of Eastern Star, Maple Hill Optimist Club, and The Eagles Lodge Aerie 1100. Charles is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 45 years, Nancy Lenora Clements, and brother, Gary Large. Survivors include two sons, Frank Clements and Michael Clements, mother of his granddaughter, Dawn Crystal, one sister, Nadene Gash, three brothers, Francis Clements, Burell Large, and Murell Large.
