Oscar was the son of William H Parrish (1848 – 1899) and Nancy Emiline Garrison Parrish (1855 – 1928). The couple had eight other children — Susan Parrish Carnes (1875-1937), Infant Daughter (1879-1879), Alfred Parrish (1876-1948), William Parrish (1881-1966), George Parrish (1884-1908), Ethel Parrish Green (1885-1974), James Parrish (1887-1959), and Benjamin Parrish (1889-1949). Alfred's name was spelled Parrish on his death certificate, but someone crossed out the 2nd r eveywhere on the certificate. His headstone shows Parish.
On Dec. 11, 1916, Oscar married Dora Crall in Camden County, Missouri. Oscar and Dora had four children — Russell Parrish (1918-1988), Virgie Parrish Harrold (1920-2001), Howard Parrish (1924-2003) and Margie Parrish Gregory Cramton (1926-1989).
Funeral services for Oscar were held on Monday, July 4, 1966, in the Reed Funeral Home Chapel, Camdenton, Missouri. Interment was in Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, Missouri.
