Frederick David "Fred" Trover, 87, of Bernie, Mo., formerly of Malden, Mo., died Thursday, July 31, 2008, at his residence.
Born July 24, 1921, in Bloomfield, Ill., son of the late Fred and Elma Beard Trover, he was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served in WWII. He was a truck driver and of the Pentecostal faith.
On Dec. 27, 1947, in Piggott, Ark., he married Peggy Rose Pritchett, who preceded him in death on June 16, 2006. He was also preceded in death by an infant son and one brother, Edwin Trover.
Survivors include one son, David Trover and wife, Mona, of Bernie; one brother, B.L. Trover, of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; one sister, Geneveve Trovellion, of California and two grandsons, Tyler and Blake Trover, of Bernie.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 2, at the Landess Funeral Home in Malden.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 2, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jared Owens officiating.
Burial will follow in the Rosewood First Addition Cemetery at Malden.
