Bernard L. "Spanky" Trover, age 89, passed away January 18, 2017 at Tennessee State Veterans Home. He was a native of Vienna, IL and lived the last 42 years in Rutherford County. Spanky also served in the U.S. Army and was the owner of Landshire Sandwich Company until his retirement. He loved to travel and camping in his motor home.
Spanky was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Elma Baird Trover; brothers and sister-in-laws, Edwin and Midge Trover and Fred and Peggy Trover; and grandson, A.J. Iman. He is survived by his loving wife, Betty "Jackie" Trover; children, Scott Trover of Murfreesboro, Karen (Darek) Baker of Brentwood, Susan (John) Heilig of Marco Island, FL and Karl Trover of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Daniel (Julie) Baker, Matthew, Sam, Tim Baker, Kristina (Noah) Schulte, Sean Tosloskie, Torie Trover; great-grandchildren, Leigha, Grayson; loving nieces, nephews and friends; and his big "sis", Genevieve Trovillion of Reno, NV
Graveside services held at Evergreen Cemetery with Bill Campbell officiating. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
