She married Ole Olsen Kolbotten Husager, born March 5, 1825, in Norway. In 1857, they immigrated to America and sett led in Paint Creek in Alamakee County, Iowa. They had eight children. The two born in Norway died aboard ship coming to America and two died as infants in Iowa. Ole Husager died in
Iowa, May 17, 1896. Then Berthe moved to Bagley, Minn, to be near her sons and daughters. Berthe died April 1, 1908, at the home of her son, Olaus, where she lived the last years. She is buried in the St. Petri Lutheran Church Cemetery northwest of Bagley, Minn., not far from the home farm. The children took the name of Olson.
