Olava born March 4, 1856, on Prestifjeld, Nor­ way, came to America as an infant with her parents, Berthe and Ole Husager. She received her education in the West Paint Creek School, Allamakee County, Iowa.
Olava married Erick Medhus, born January 31, 1854, in Hall ingdal, Norway, and they lived on a farm near West Brook, Minn. Olava died August 28, 1921, and Erick, July 27, 1929. Both are buried on Poplar River Cemetery, Fosston, Minn.
Mr. & Mrs. Medhus were blessed with two children:
