Ann Bailey VanHook, age 81, of London, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2009 in the Saint Joseph-London. She was a daughter of the late Richard and Cora (Eaton) Bailey, born to them on May 5, 1927 in Richmond, Indiana.

Mrs. VanHook was a well known Laurel County Homemaker and a Member of the Hopewell Baptist Church. On December 24, 1946 in London, Kentucky she united in Marriage to Lester E. VanHook. She was preceded in death along with her Parents; by her Husband: Lester E. VanHook on November 15, 1969; by Her two infant Sons: Richard VanHook and Gary VanHook; and a Sister: Shirley (Bailey) McNeil; and two Brothers: Denver Bailey and Stanton Bailey.

She is survived by her loving family: Her Children: Larry VanHook, Lester VanHook, Barry VanHook, Cheryl Elam and Brenda Christian all of London; Wanda Sue Stratton of Dayton, Ohio. Her Sisters and Brothers: Rose Lockaby of Pittsburg, Kentucky; Dora Sweet of Corbin; Art Bailey of Salt Lake City, Utah; Harold Bailey and Clifton Bailey both of Hamilton, Ohio. Her Brother-in-law: Wilmer VanHook of London; Her two Sister-in-laws: Catherine Chesnut of Hamilton, Ohio and Norma Hodge of Nashville, Tennessee; Her 14 Grandchildren:Desmond Christian, Rodney VanHook, Bridgett Tyler, Robyn Davis, Angie Kendig, Amy Duling, Katie Blair, Jason VanHook, Megan VanHook, Justin VanHook, Ashley VanHook, Barry VanHook, Jr., Bryan Elam and Lindsey Elam. Her 18 Great Grandchildren: Tyler Christian, Destiny R. Christian, Brittany VanHook, Beth VanHook, Courtney VanHook, Aaron VanHook, Jaylee Tyler, Ava Tyler, Aaron Davis, Emma Kendig, Eathan Kendig, Austin Duling, Maddox Blair, Blake VanHook, Jaylynn VanHook, Madison VanHook, Ashtyn VanHook and Bryson VanHook.

Pallbearers will be: Desmond Christian, Bryan Elam, Jason VanHook, Barry VanHook, Jr., Justin VanHook, Rodney VanHook and Tyler Christian.
