NATIVE OF THIS COUNTY DIES IN KANSAS.

Austin Ridge has just received the news of the death of his aged uncle, which occurred at his old home, five miles west of Osawatomie, Kansas, June 30, after several months of illness of heart trouble. This is sad news to his many relatives and friends here, he having been born eight miles north of this city, the eldest son of eight children born to John and Elizabeth Turner. One brother, James of Bloomington survives. The deceased moved to Kansas in 1856 and made many visits back to his old home and friends.

Behind him he leaves a spotless name and a record of things well done. The following children survive: Mrs. Althea Dillman and Mrs. A. J. Ranney, Kansas; Mrs. Maggie Day, Frank Jackson, and Dr. J. W. Turner, Idaho. He was laid to rest beside his wife who preceded him two years ago.
