Louisa A Coal miners daughter, Her parents were Italian imigrients. She died at age 92 of natural causes. She was born July 17, 1903, in South Canyon, Colo., to Angelo Belbodi and Catherina Vecchi Bellodi. She married Clarence Leo McConnell on Sept. 8, 1923. He died in 1964. Mrs. McConnell came to Lafayette from the Glenwood Springs area 75 years ago. Mrs. McConnell was a homemaker and a member of Eastern Star. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, knitting, gardening and canning food. Survivors include a daughter, Gege Weer of Arvada; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers Vasco, Pete, Robert, Frank, Sisters Selika & Josephine and a son, Robert "Hal" McConnell, in January.
