He was born July 24, 1940, in Wabash, to Elmer A. and E. Marie Flora Hufford. He married Gladys I. Blocher on March 30, 1968, in Silver Lake, and she survives.
Also surviving are a son, Myron and a daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Marsha I.) Chaney, both of Rossville; two brothers, Donovan of Mulberry and Darrell of Rossville; a sister, Mrs. Howard (Anna Lou) Hendrickson; a sister-in-law, Joyce; and three grandchildren.
A brother preceded him in death.
