Martha Dean Smith 91, of Elkmont,AL died Monday, July 20, 2020 at her home.
Born Saturday, September 22, 1928 in Elkmont, AL, she was the daughter of Johnny Wheeler Hodges and Florence Biggerstaff Hodges. She lived most all of her life here, and was a member of Ardmore Church of Christ. She loved her family, her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She thought she had to feed everyone who came to her front door.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 44 years, William Howard Smith, brothers, John Wesley Hodges, and Leonard Howard Hodges; sons, Randy Smith and Joey Smith; and sister, Lorene Hodges.
She is survived by her sons, Jimmy (Kathy) Smith, Elkmont, AL, and Kenney (Tavvy) Smith, Elkmont, AL; daughters, Sandra (Joe Mark) Douthit, Toney, AL, Tammy (Craig) Meadows, Elkmont, AL; daughter-in-law, Susan Smith, Elkmont, AL; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a special niece, Nancy Augus.

A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Ardmore, AL, at 11:00 AM with Bro. Jason Shackleford officiating.
