To the memory of one whose life we learned to admire for its geniality and use fullness; in fact all the attributes which are instrumental in making a complete gentle-women. And whose death we regret and mourn as it seems to us in the flesh that she might have been spared a few more days, but God knows best.Annette A. Adams was born in Cheshire, Ohio, December 11, 1840 and died at her home in Lebo, Kas., and November 16, 1907, aged 67 years. She gave her heart to God while young in life and united with the Christian Church and has since lived a consecrated christian life. She was married to Cyrus A. Ball February 24, 1858 and to this union was born 10 children, 6 boys and 4 girls, 6 of whom are still living. She came with her family to Kansas in 1873. She was a great niece of John Quincy Adams and a first cousin of General Lew Wallace the auth-of "Ben Hur." Mrs. Ball was a member of the Ladies Aid Society of the Christian church. She was of a quite modest disposition, always anxious for her works rather then her words to tell of her. The funeral was held at the Christian Church conducted by the writer assisted by C. C. Atwood, after which she was laid to rest in the Lebo cemetery. She leaves a husband and 6 children, 3 boys and 3 girls to mourn her loss. She is gone but not forgotten."There are three words that sweetly blendThat on the heart are graven;A precious soothing balm they lend,They're Mother, Home and Heaven"G. C. Ardrey
