MITCHELL Karl A. Age 72, of Lowman, NY, died on Tuesday, October 11, 2005, at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. He was born on July 17, 1933 in Utica, NY to the late Oran and Anna (Wood) Mitchell. Karl was predeceased by his son, Karl A. Mitchell Jr.; and brother, Oran Mitchell. Survivors include his wife, Janeen (Mickle) Mitchell of Lowman; children, Wilma R. Mitchell of Canadensis, PA, Phillip (Betty-Ann) Mitchell of White Haven, PA, Karla A. (Gene) Umphrey of Stroudsburg, PA, Stephanie L. (Tony) Zarachowicz of Groton, NY, Joseph M. (Kathy) Mitchell of Orlando, FL and Tom (Jodi) Bellows of Waverly, NY; sister, Lillian (Alfred) Dashno of Auburn, NY; brothers, Edward (Anita) Mitchell of Big Flats, Clifford Mitchell of Florence, SC and Jack (Pam) Lattin of Elmira; sisters-in-law, Shirley Mitchell and Lillian Mitchell Tomei, both of Elmira; eight grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews. Karl was a member of the VFW and American Legion in Elmira Heights. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, October 14th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the James D. Barrett Funeral Home. A Graveside Service for Karl will be held on Saturday, October 15th at 11 a.m. in Maple Grove Cemetery with full Military Honors.
