Professional Football Player. He played at the guard and tackle positions for nine seasons (1959 to 1967) in the National Football League with the Chicago/St. Louis Cardinals, Dallas Cowboys, Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Colts. He was a member of the 1964 NFL Champion Browns' team. During his collegiate years at the University of Wyoming, he was a member of the Cowboys' team which defeated Hardin-Simmons University in the Sun Bowl in 1958. Memmelaar was chosen by the Cardinals in the 21st round of the 1959 NFL Draft and appeared in 107 career regular season games. He died from cancer.
