Mr. Brewer was born in McDonough, NY on September 21, 1926, a son of the late Stephen and Blanche Smith Brewer. A lifelong resident of the area, he and his wife, Catherine, operated the Shell Station on Hale Street, Norwich before moving their business to McDonough where they owned and operated Les' Exxon.
He is survived by his children. He also leaves behind his siblings; many, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Catherine Ellis Brewer, in 2002, a daughter, Susan Chapman in 2001, and a great-grandson, Dakota Bush. He was also predeceased by his siblings, Fred Brewer, Sr., Esther Cardner, Helena Brewer, Richard Brewer, and Robert Brewer.
The family will be present to receive friends at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, on Friday, October 17, 2008, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. which will be followed by a graveside ceremony at 1:30 p.m. at the Westview Cemetery, German.
