Kenneth was born Feb. 28, 1928, in West Plains, Mo., to James A. and Lillie E. Loy Bowles. He married Carolyn G. Hall in April, 1950. She died in October 1982 in Peoria.
He later married Louise Gentry on April 17, 1985, in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are four sons, David (Tracy) Bowles of Peoria Heights, Keith (Adrienne Rust) Bowles of Peoria, Tony (Martha) Presley of Peoria Heights and Glen Presley of Peoria Heights; three daughters, Julie (Richard) Hughes of Peoria Heights, Tracy Presley of Missouri and Valerie (Jamie) Dunn of Owensboro, Ky.; one brother, Wayne Bowles of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and one sister, Wilma Jean Groves of Oklahoma City, Okla.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one great-grandson, one brother and three sisters.
He was a WWII U.S. Army Air Forces veteran.
He was a former member of The Gideons International and a former member of the Farm Bureau in Metamora.
He raised White Park cattle.
Kenneth enjoyed bowling, computers and working in his church. Farming was his love, and studying the Bible was his life.
He was a member of Calvary Temple in Peoria.
Burial will be in Hill Crest Memory Gardens in rural Morton.
