Theodore Napolean Teeter, Sr., of Russellville died at age 107 in his home.

He was born to James Henry Teeter and Ada Judkins Teeter in Crow Mountain – a small community in Pope County near Russellville.

He attended Mars Hill School and he along with his family, helped build Welcome Hill Assembly of God Church. He married Floy Girthel McAlister, daughter of Harmon Lee and Matilda Jane Gideon McAlister in December 1920. He farmed in Crow Mountain area until 1956 and then spent 1956-1971 in Covina, California working as a custodian for the school district. After retirement he returned to Russellville where he enjoyed gardening and raising flowers.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 75 years(1996) two sons, J.L. Teeter(1999) and Theodore Napolean Teeter, Jr. (2009) a granddaughter, Kathy Vannoy (1985) and a great granddaughter, Heather Vannoy (2008).
Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law; Virginia Ruth Horne of Sibley, Mo. and Bill and Jane McAnulty of Russellville, one daughter-in-law, Frances Teeter of Lubbock, TX, 12 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 37 great-great grandchildren.

Open visitation was held at Lemley Funeral Home in Atkins, Arkansas Tuesday March 24, 2009.Graveside services were held at the Bowden Cemetery on Crow Mountain at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday March 25, 2009. The euology was given by friend and neighbor Johnny Boren and other family members took part in the service to honor and celebrate his life.
