James Benjamin "Ben" Teeter, 99, of Russellville went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 29, 2016, at his home.
He was born October 1, 1917, on Crow Mountain to James and Ada Judkins Teeter. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II and was a farmer who loved his work and family. He was a member of the First Assembly of God and enjoyed gardening, watching Cardinals baseball and Razorback sports.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Nell Barton Teeter; and eight brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his son, Ron Teeter (Linda) of Fort Smith; granddaughter, Richelle (Phillip) Weese of Conway; great-grandson, Ben Weese of Conway; and other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at Humphrey Chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Morris and Rev. Earl Roy Teeter officiating. Burial will be in Old Baptist Cemetery near Center Valley under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
