Charles was born on March 7, 1892, during a northern blizzard. An announcement of his birth was published in Newtonia on March 17, 1892: "Born, to Mr. and Mrs. William Bell, on Monday, March 7th, 1892, a fine boy." Like his siblings, Charles was influenced by his parent's religious beliefs and grew up in the Christian faith, which he embraced throughout his life.
Rev. Charles B. Bell, Boone, passed away at St. Mary Corwin hospital, Sept. 4, 1981. Husband of Mrs. Mary L. Bell; father of Mrs. Pauline N. Molyneux, Fowler; Mrs. Shirley R. Harwood, Denver: Reuben M. Bell, Denver; and C. Oliver Bell, Boone; grandfather of 19 and great grandfather of 25. Predeceased by a son Harold H. Bell who died in World War II on July 22, 1945. He was a member of Calvary Bible Church of Colorado Springs serving as pastor of that church for many years and was also a business man at Boone for many years. He was a lifetime Gideon and Veteran of World War I. He was born on March 7, 1892, in Newtonia, Mo. Service will be held at 2:30 p. m., Tuesday, in the Rouch Chapel. Interment, Mountain View Cemetery.
