Asberry Dunn Sr., 88, of 1900 Lincolnton Highway in Elberton died Jan. 4, 2006, at Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens.
A native of Elbert County, he was a son of the late Freeman Robert Dunn and Melissa Ann Beulah Madden Dunn. He was a retired contractor, a farmer and a member of Welcome Wesleyan Church.
Survivors include his wife of the home, Sarah Rice Dunn; a daughter, Janelle D. Hilley of Elberton; two sons, Asbury Dunn Jr. and R.L. Dunn, both of Elberton; a brother, George Dunn of Dewy Rose; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday at the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Rev. Arnold Beard, the Rev. Phil Herrington and the Rev. Al Garvin officiating. Burial was in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to Welcome Wesleyan Church.
