William Byrd/Bird West (aka William Bird West) was son of James West (1849-1898) and Amanda Hemby (1854-1909). He married Callie Emely Hyatt (daughter of William Jefferson Hyatt, Sr and Susann Annie Duckworth-Hyatt(Turner).
There is a discrepancy between the headstone birth date and his Tx Death Certificate birth date by one year. His death certificate is 1877 and headstone is 1878. His wife Callie has a discrepancy also, but on death date being one year off versus William's birth date being one year off.
Due to Tx Death Cert and headstones having birth and death date discrepancy, I assume that the headstone was likely set later than the filing of the death certificates.
In addition, on most records including the Tx Death Certificates the names were:
